Days 331—332
› We were in the final country during the final days of our trip, and we were a little sad it would all be ending soon.

› We heard rumors of the magical healing properties imparted by the mineral-rich geothermal heated waters of the Blue Lagoon. Of course we had to investigate this for ourselves.
› Iceland prides itself on being a land of ice and fire, and today we saw that first-hand when we toured the Golden Circle. We visited icy waterfalls, boiling glaciers, and the true birthplace of human democracy. It was an epic day.
After leaving England, we had a three-day layover in Iceland, a small island country the locals call a land of ice and fire. On our first day, we got the lay of the land in Reykjavik, along with a history lesson or two, and some delicious hot dogs.
After nearly a month, we were getting ready to leave England behind. But first we had to play video games ... a lot of video games.
We left England behind for a little while to explore the wilds of Scotland for five days — and visit some old friends.
Way back around the year 120, Roman Emperor Hadrian built a giant wall too keep the wildmen out of the northern border of the Roman Empire. Parts of that wall still stand today.
We leave London at last and head north, stopping at Milton Keynes and visit Bletchley Park, home of the World War II codebreakers before venturing on to the small town of Olney (home to a very unusual race).
As we've mentioned a few times, the City of London is but a small part of what most people consider to be London. But what makes London different from the City of London? It's complicated ...
We spent a lot of time in London, and that included some adventures into the wilds of Greater London, a really huge collection of boroughs and neighborhoods surrounding the City of London.
