After a brief drive from Madrid, we explored the narrow, twisting streets of Toledo, former capital of Spain and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After scouring the back streets of Madrid in search of the rare cookies baked by nuns, we ate at the world's oldest restaurant, took in some famous art at the Prado Museum, and went on an evening tapas tour.
Our travels took us to Kingdom of Thailand, where we stayed for a month in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. We saw a lot of cool things during our stay—here are are few of them.
After landing in Madrid at Midnight, we got to our hostel and grabbed a little sleep before heading out to take our first Sandeman’s Free Walking Tour. It was a long day.
Our time in Brasov was winding down, which meant our time in Romania was nearing an end. But we still had a few places to go and some people to meet.
Jackie tells us about that time in Ho Chi Minh City when she rode a cyclo through the busy streets, shopped at the market, and learned how to make some Vietnamese dishes.
We enjoyed our tour with The Land of Dracula Tours so much, that we signed up for another one, this time to visit the Saxon villages of Sighisoara and Viscri, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage sites.
If you're going to be in Transylvania, sooner than later you're going to hear about Dracula. So before he could find us, we decided we were going to go to Bran Castle. An adventuring family has to answer the call of adventure.
We take a train to Transylvania where we stay in a hotel named after Vlad Tepes ...
We knew next to nothing about Romania, so we signed up for a walking tour of Bucharest with Alexandra of Roaring Romania, who gave us an excellent, all-day tour of Bucharest.
